Promoting the Health Benefits of Exercise

To get the most out of exercising, one must feel comfortable and relaxed. Our senior fitness center kept this in mind when we created Avamere's Health and Fitness Medford gym 11 years ago. Our first goal was to simply provide a comfortable space where adults 40 and over could workout among their peers and feel good about their success at any fitness level. Our second goal was to show the health benefits of exercise for improving one's quality of life at any age.

We're pleased that the Medford community has embraced our senior fitness center. We strive to offer both beginners and advanced fitness-level members with a physically challenging and socially rich experience. We also provide a personalized approach to fitness for seniors that's especially beneficial for those who have medical conditions attain greater senior health fitness.

Additionally, our Medford gym actively supports the national initiative, "Exercise is Medicine". The initiative encourages health care providers to promote the health benefits of exercise as a component for the prevention and treatment of many chronic diseases. Our instructors and trainers partner with members—and their health care providers—to ensure the right physical activity emphasis and right level of intensity is achieved.
